UK Wide Cycle Ride… for charity mate!

I don’t often do charity events. I think the main reason is because I’ve never liked the fact you have to raise a certain amount to be allowed to do it, or that people are basically paying so you can go do something fun. But, I’ve signed up for a virtual event in support of Diabetes UK to cycle 250 virtual miles across the country, in September. I’ve signed up for a number of reasons.

  • They are not requiring a minimum amount, so I’ve not got to hassle people to donate.
  • It’s triple the distance the Hadrian’s Wall challenge was, so it’s a real challenge for me
  • I have had relations who have suffered with Diabetes so it is a worthwhile cause
